Game Summary
The Guardians struck first this time, as Vinnie Pasquantino drove in Kyle Tucker with a 2-out RBI single in the 2nd. Luis Campusano and Matt Vierling then both reached, giving Andres Gimenez a chance to come up big, and he did with a 2-run single to make it 3-0. Carlos Correa then reached on a HBP, extending the nightmare 2-out rally for Texas, but George Valera struck out to end the threat. Justin Foscue came up with 1 out also as the tying run next inning, but grounded into a double play to once again come up empty. The Rangers went to their bullpen in the 7th, and the Guardians ambushed Robert Suarez as Andres Gimenez blasted a 2-run HR to extend the lead to 5-0. Kyle Tucker supplied the dagger a few batters later with a 2-out, 2-run double to make it 7-0 Guardians. Vinnie Pasquantino made it a laugher with a solo shot an inning later. Danny Jansen finally got the Rangers on the board in the 8th with a solo shot off Shane Bieber, but the Guardians erased that run with a RBI groundout by George Valera in the 9th.
