A good start...
Dave Rose was dealing and the Rays got just enough offense to take a tidy 3-0 win over the Yankees in the opening game of the historic ALDS matchup of teams which combined for 228 wins. Juan Viatoro had a sac fly and a solo homer and Dantel Chinchilla also went yard to get the Rays the runs they needed as Rose and the pen combined on a shutout. Rex Bransington will go tomorrow.
