The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the signing of veteran infielder Jake Cronenworth to a minor-league contract.
Cronenworth, 32, split the 2025 season between the Tampa Bay Rays and San Francisco Giants.
Altogether, he played in 136 games/120 starts and hit .232 with 13 home runs and 64 RBIs.
The left-handed hitting Cronenworth broke into the majors with the Padres in 2020 and spent five seasons with them before signing with Tampa Bay.
For his career, he is a .238 hitter with 77 career homers and 342 RBIs.
