Cards news: March 6 -- Reliever Raisel Iglesias signed to one-year deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the signing of right-handed relief pitcher Rasiel Iglesias to a one-year contract worth $2.4 million.
Iglesias, 36, is presently on the injured list with a torn UCL. He is not expected to take the mound again for four months.
He last pitched for the Houston Astros during the 2025 season, getting into 39 games and going 4-3 with one saves and a 2.08 ERA before suffering the injury on August 16.
Iglesias broke into the majors with the Cincinnati Reds in 2015.
He pitched for six seasons before moving onto the Los Angeles Angels, Atlanta Braves and then the Astros.
He has pitched in 563 games over the course of his career going 48-60 with 176 saves and a 3.21 ERA.
