Cards news: May 18 -- Bruised knee lands Walker on injured lis, Saggese called up from Memphis
The St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Jordan Walker on the 10-day injured list after he suffered an injured knee in a 4-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox on May 17.
Walker, 23, is expected to miss up to two weeks.
In 35 games this season, Walker has hit .223 with 12 homers and 22 RBIs.
Getting called up from AAA Memphis is 24-year-old third baseman Thomas Saggese.
In 35 games this season, Saggese has hit .294 with nine homers and 30 RBIs.
Saggese played in four games in the majors. He hit .182 with one homer and two RBIs.
