Catching Up Again Part 2
As I said before, I would expand the league once one of the original expansion teams from 2022 reached the playoffs, and that happened in 2027 (Congratulations to the Miami Marlins!)
The league now has 40 teams, and the new teams are:
Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
Nashville Sounds
New Orleans Baby Cakes
Portland (OR) Sea Dogs
This expansion also resulted in division realignment, where there are now eight divisions of five teams each.
AL East
Baltimore Orioles
Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
Tampa Bay Rays
Toronto Blue Jays
AL Central
Chicago White Sox
Cleveland Guardians
Detroit Tigers
Kansas City Royals
Minnesota Twins
AL West
Houston Astros
Los Angeles Angels
Oakland Athletics
Seattle Mariners
Texas Rangers
AL South
Charlotte Knights
Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
New Orleans Baby Cakes
Norfolk Tides
Salt Lake Bees
NL East
Columbus Sea Lions
Montreal Expos
New York Mets
Philadelphia Phillies
Washington Nationals
NL Central
Chicago Cubs
Cincinnati Reds
Milwaukee Brewers
Pittsburgh Pirates
St. Louis Cardinals
NL West
Arizona Diamondbacks
Colorado Rockies
Los Angeles Dodgers
San Diego Padres
San Francisco Giants
NL South

History of the MLB up until the current season will follow this post.
The division winners and two wild card teams from each league make the playoffs, adding up to twelve total playoff teams.
