The St. Louis Cardinals have placed shortstop Masyn Winn on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a setback in his recovery from a concussion suffered in a 7-5 win over Washington on July 17.
Winn, 24, has played in 85 games for the Cardinals in 2026 and batted .226 with six home runs and 33 RBIs.
Getting called up from AAA Memphis is 23-year-old infielder Cameron Cauley.
Acquired from the Texas Rangers in a July 3 trade, Cauley played five games for Memphis hitting .409 with four home runs and 11 RBIs.
Before that, he had split time between the Rangers and their AAA team at Round Rock.
For the Rangers, Cauley hit .279 with one homer and two RBIs in 11 games.
At Round Rock, he got into 65 games and hit .363 with 17 home runs and 58 RBIs.
