Seeing a player go from 60% to 73% to 57% to 62% to 71% and never get in just feels wrong. It takes extremely unusual circumstances for a player to top 70% and not get inducted in the next year or two (basically Schilling requesting to be taken off the ballot or a Vizquel type discovery of misconduct), but in OOTP that happens all the time. It would be very surprising if Helton doesn't get elected next year, but in game he probably is about as likely to drop back below 50% as pick up the 3% to get inducted.

Man, I with you! The numbers for almost all my players are up one year and down the next. Especially with it being up in the odd years and down in the even years. If a player hasn't made it in the ninth year he certainly won't make it the tenth as his percentage will drop (setting at 10 years on the ballot).
