Game 65: Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Americans
In their final game before the All-Star classic, the Boston Americans (48-17) treated their fans to a 11 to 2 pummeling of the Chicago White Sox (22-43). Sam Leever (11-3) cruised to the easy victory in which he allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits and 1 walk for a Game Score of 69. Opposing pitcher Fred Glade wasn't so fortunate, as he allowed 10 runs (all earned) on 10 hits and 2 walks in just 2 innings of play; Game Score of -10. Bob Dresser (1 run (earned) on 5 hits and 1 walk in 3 innings) and Lave Winham (0 runs on 1 hit and 2 walks in 3 innings) pitched in relief.
