Game 3: Roxbury 3 at Fort Hagen 4
Silver Shroud Clip Rad Sox 4-3 in SSS Contest
Starter Matt Hope was sensational for the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Roxbury Rad Sox in Game 3 of the Sole Survivor Series today. Hope pitched well, but Fort Hagen picked up the win to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
Jim Tiller, the Fort Hagen first baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 4-2, Silver Shroud. For the game, Tiller was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
Tiller told a Fort Hagen Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen.
Game 4: Roxbury 7 at Fort Hagen 3
Roxbury Win to Pull Even With Fort Hagen
The Roxbury Rad Sox topped the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud by the score of 7-3 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Sole Survivor Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Roxbury starter Nuke Laloosh, who threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs in the win.
Biddy Swenson, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Swenson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Roxbury up, 2-1.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Laloosh.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen.
Game 5: Roxbury 3 at Fort Hagen 10
Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Silver Shroud, 10-3
Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Jim Tiller, the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud stopped the visiting Roxbury Rad Sox, 10-3, in Game 5 of the Sole Survivor Series today. Tiller was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Silver Shroud, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 2.
With one out in the top of the third, Chris Connexx had a chance to do some damage. Roxbury was trailing 7-0, but had the bases loaded. Connexx came to the plate against Derek Green, and grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough to complete a Roxbury comeback.
Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury in Roxbury.
