MLB news: Sept. 26 -- Dodgers once again rule NL West
A day after sewing up their 14th consecutive postseason berth, the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched yet another National League West Division championship with a 9-8 win over the San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers (92-62) own a 9.5-game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks with eight games left in the season.
L.A. trails Washington by one game for the No. 2 seed in the NL playoffs.
Cincinnati sewed up the top seed long ago.
The NL West title is the Dodgers 13th in the past 14 seasons.
