The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their first postseason berth sewing up a National League wild card with a 7-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers (87-74) trail the Cincinnati Reds by 20 games in the NL Central Division.
But they own a two-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks for the third wild card.
The playoff spot is the Brewers first since 2023. Their lone World Series appearance came in 1982, when they lost in seven games to the St. Louis Cardinals.
