Leever (14-3) tossed the complete game shutout by allowing 8 hits and 1 walk on 130 pitches to finish with a Game Score of 72. Despite pitching well, Bill Donovan (13-7) took the loss after giving up 1 unearned run on 6 hits and 2 walks over 8 innings of play; Game Score of 67. Bill Duggleby finished the final inning, allowing 2 hits on 14 pitches.
