Cards news: February 2 -- Starting pitcher Dylan Cease signed to three-year deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the signing of 31-year starting pitcher Dylan Cease to a three-year contract worth $16,150,000 per season.
The final season includes a team opt out.
Cease, who was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB draft before being traded to the Chicago White Sox in July of 2017, spent the 2026 season with the Atlanta Braves where he went 15-11 with a 4.59 ERA in 34 starts.
In his career, Cease spent parts of seven season in the White Sox rotation, Cease has a mark of 92-67 with a 4.00 ERA in 225 games.
