RW Daniel Alfredsson signs a one year deal with Blues. The 41 year said, "I just feel like I have another year in me, and I think this team has real potential to go on a deep run. It would sure be nice to go out with a Cup, and I still believe I can contribute to a team."

- Vancouver defenseman Alex Edler suffered a serious arm injury (tricep) and will be out 2-3 months.

- All three goalies looked good, but Lack played amazing and Markstrom doesn't need to go through waivers yet so Markstrom will start in Utica.
- Linden Vey surprisingly made the team as a depth forward.
