Borowiecki suspended for vicious headshot
Mark Borowiecki of the Ottawa Senators plays with an edge and last night he crossed the line. Only one minute into Ottawa's game against the Islanders, Borowiecki caught
Frans Nielsen with a blindside head shot and was ejected from the game. Today the NHL's DOPS handed down a 7 game suspension in retribution. Borowiecki was near the top of the league in hits and penalty minutes, but he is going to have to reign in his physicality and keep things clean when he returns. Nielsen is expected to miss at least a month with a concussion.
