High drama at the Trop as
Joe Stack came off the bench in his first career playoff game and delivered a 2-run walk-off homer to win the ALDS opener for the Rays 4-3. For most of the night the Rays' offense was listless as New York's Zach Feist dominated them, fanning 10 and keeping them off the board into the 6th.
Joe Marlette started and didn't allow a hit through the first 4, but New York got to him with an RBI double from the light-hitting Drew Romo in the 5th and eventually made it 3-0. Another rookie playing in his first postseason game started the comeback as
Bobby Marin went deep with a man on in the 7th, setting the stage for Stack.
Kevin DiCostanzo will go tomorrow to try and make it a 2-0 lead.
