American League Player of the Week
Fans of the Philadelphia Athletics already knew that shortstop Honus Wagner is a master with the bat, so it was not a surprise to learn that Wagner was named American League Player of the Week. In picking up the award, he batted .400 (12 for 30) with 1 Triple, 1 Homerun, 6 Runs, 8 RBIs, and 2 Stolen Bases to finish with a slash line of .400/.400/.567 which was good for a 180 OPS+ and 0.4 WAR. This was his first PofW honor.
