Cards news: July 11 -- 19-year-olds Jonathan Parrish and Vitale Rastelli selected to Prospects Game
The St. Louis Cardinals have 19-year-old starting pitcher Jonathan Parrish and 19-year-old outfielder Vitae Rastelli selected to the Prospects Game.
Parrish, who started the season at Rookie League Jupiter before being moved to Class A Palm Beach, has gone 1-5 in eight starts with an 11.52 ERA.
The Cardinals acquired Parrish with the 17th pick of the first round of the 2026 draft.
He is ranked the 49th best prospect in MLB.
Rastelli is ranked the fifth-best prospect in the game.
A free agent signing out of Venezuela, Rastelli has spent the entire season in the Rookie League where he has hit .237 with four homers and 20 RBIs in 31 games.
