In this thread, I am going to be presenting a replay of all NHL history, using the FHM 9 simulation engine in historical mode. For the most part, this is a completely hands off simulation, to see how things might have gone. However, I will at times intervene in commissioner mode to prevent particularly unrealistic events, as well as to enforce certain historical realities (e.g., certain players not being available because they were serving in the military at the time). In addition, in the early seasons, while using the results from FHM as inputs, I will be reporting 'adjusted' statistics that are reflective of realistic roster choices, roster sizes, and assist per goal rates for the time, until the 1930s or so, when the game begins to correspond with historical reality in those regards.
