I thought a fun thing to do would be a sort of Theo Epstein challenge where I bring World Series Championships to teams that have never won or haven't won in a long time. My first challenge was the Oakland A's starting in the 2023 season. I grew up watching baseball in the late 80's. Even though the Yankees were my team, watching the Bash Brothers and Rickey Henderson on those teams easily made them my number 2 team. That said, it took 17 seasons to finally pull off the win. I then moved to the Padres, Rockies, and Mariners. All of those were much easier. I would basically move on once I won a WS. The Mariners team I put together was extra special so I stuck around to win back to back before moving on to Cleveland. Tampa managed to win one on their own, so once/if I can ever win with Cleveland, I'm moving on to Texas. Cleveland is a PITA so far, but I have faith. Let me know if you're curious about my methodology, settings, specific players, or anyting else. This has been really fun so far, and my plan is to eventually expand the league by 4 teams and take one over until OOTP 25 comes out.
