The Los Angeles Angels will get a chance to defending their 2022 World Series title after they became the first time to clinch a 2023 playoff berth with a 6-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sept. 9.
At 90-50, the Angels own a 16.5 game lead over the Houston Astros in the American League West Division with 22 games to play.
The Angels will be in the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season. A division title will be their fourth in a row.
