MLB news: Sept. 22 -- Toronto will be in playoffs for fourth straight season
Despite falling 5-2 to the Texas Rangers, the Toronto Blue Jays have been assured at least a wild card in the upcoming American League playoffs.
The Blue Jays (84-68) lead the Baltimore Orioles by 4.5 games in the American League East Division with 10 games remaining.
The postseason berth is the fourth straight for Toronto. A division title would be its third in a row.
The Jays lasted won the World Series in 1993, when it claimed the second straight of back-to-back titles.
