MLB news: Sept. 30 -- Giants will be back in postseason
The San Francisco Giants clinched their first playoff berth since 2025 with an 8-6 win over the Colorado Rockies.
The Giants, at 91-68, lead the San Diego Padres by two games in the National League West Division with three games remaining, meaning the Giants are at least assured of a wild-card berth.
San Francisco last made the World Series in 2012, when it defeated the Kansas City Royals.
