I don't think there is a way to prevent teams relocating, you just have to edit
them back to their previous name/location/arena.
One downside to the 'Add Team' option is an example where you maybe create a new team/franchise, play it for a few years ,
then decide to remove it again. That teams franchise history is then 'lost' forever. There is currently no way to resurrect the same team at a future date, and have the
franchise history continue.
The same doesn't apply with 'Add Historical Team' though, if you added
the Minnesota Wild in the 1950's played them for 5 years , then removed them.
When the team is added automatically in 2000 again, it's franchise history will include those previous 5 years.
