Despite having the second-best record in MLB (by half a game) the Rays only managed two all-stars: Marlette (his 5th selection) and Franco (his 7th and first in 3 years). Had Danny Arroyave not missed most of April he might have made it but the real snub was Kevin DiCostanzo at 12-2, 2.74. Former Rays playing in the Midseason Classic include Yankee closer Eric Lewis, Houston 1B Dominic Scavone, Philly P Matt Cronin, Dodgers P James Hays, Padres C Joey Bart, and although he didn't actually play for the Rays Cincinnati rookie OF Duk-yoon Ko made it after a 23-homer first half. Ko was signed by us the winter before last and then dealt to the Reds for lefty pitcher Ajani Riddick who's missed most of the year with injuries.

The HR Derby, with no Rays:

Always with the low totals in this save.

The game itself:

Wander was 0-3 and Marlette didn't appear since he had pitched on Sunday.
