1902 World Series -- Game 3

On the brink of going down 3 games to none, a record home crowd of 7,609 fans witnessed the Boston Americans (1-2) mount a 9th inning rally to prevail over the Boston Beaneaters (2-1) by a 4 to 3 score.

Sam Leever (1-0) picked up the victory by holding the opposition to 3 runs (2 earned) on 9 hits and 3 walks; Game Score of 59. In taking the loss, Vic Willis (0-1) surrendered 4 earned runs on 8 hits, 3 walks, and 4 hit batsmen; Game Score of 51.

The Americans were led at the plate by Fred Clarke (3 for 4, Double, 1 RBI), Bill Lange (2 for 3, 1 Run, 1 Walk, 2 Stolen Bases), and Chick Stahl (1 for 4, 1 Run, 2 RBIs, 1 Walk).
