What kind of game is it? What year? Any other settings you did at set-up that differ from the baseline?
If you toggled on the amateur draft late in the year for the first time, I could see the draft happening at the future date you set but the date of the draft pool announcement having been accidently behind you in time. So, no announcement, no players.
