Over to Kentucky now for my very un-genteel take on the Hustlers out of Winchester, who played in the state's Bluegrass League for all five years it existed, 1908-12.
The second of those was memorable not just for the Championship it brought to Winchester, but for Fred Toney's 17-inning no-hitter against Lexington, the longest in organized baseball. Fred went on to spend a while in the bigs, one of a handful of Hustlers alumni to do so.
