The Knights travel to Atlanta to take on the 24-32 Braves. The pitching matchups for the series are:

Game #58 – May 30 – Truist Park
Mike Soroka walked Vidal Brujan to start the game and then had to leave the game with an injury. Daniel Hudson relieved. Brandon Drury singled home 2 runs later in the inning to give Charlotte the lead. Anthony Santander followed with a double off the top of the CF wall to score Drury and make it 3-0. The Knights made it 4-0 in the 2nd inning when Owen Miller scored on an Evan Marshall wild pitch.
The Braves loaded the bases in the 3rd, but Danny Duffy struck out Ozzie Albies to end the threat. Atlanta scored 3 times in the 4th on Phil Gosselin's RBI double and a 2-run home run from Marcell Ozuna. William Contreras tied it with his 6th HR of the year in the 5th. An Eddie Rosario base hit drove Duffy from the game. Glenn Otto made his Charlotte debut with runners at the corners and 2 outs. Otto got Luke Waddell to hit a foul pop to Jhonkensey Noel to end the inning.
Miller came through with a clutch 2-out single to center in the top of the 6th, scoring Santander and putting the Knights back on top. Two batters later, Vidal Brujan beat out an infield hit. Miller scored to make it a 6-4 game. The Knights added 2 insurance runs in the 8th on Brujan's RBI groundout and Noel's RBI single.
Otto pitched 2.2 scoreless innings. Nick Robertson got the final 5 outs of the game.

Game Notes: This was Glenn Otto's 1st major league win. He had pitched 30 innings with Texas in 2022 and 2023 and had lost all 3 of his decisions.
News: San Francisco OF Mike Yastrzemski is expected to miss 8-9 months (the rest of the season) with a broken bone in his elbow. Mets SS Francisco Lindor went on the IL with back spasms and is expected to be out for 4-5 weeks. Red Sox DH J. D. Martinez hit career HR #300 in a Boston victory over the Angels.
