The Bulls were but one of a host of clubs that have come out of Lafayette LA over they years. They went by this particular nickname from 1948 thru 1953 whilst a member of the Evangeline League, capturing the title in 1950. They would win it again in the league's final 1955 season as the Oilers, an affiliate in the Cubs' farm system. Al "Zeke" Zarilla and, three decades on for one of the final iterations of the club, Jack Clark are its most famous alumni.
