I think you have a very good structure for creating dynamism in your universe, which is naturally going to even out things over time. Generally that's why I'm a fan of the financial system, though this being such a custom universe I'm 100% on board with understanding why it's not at play here, but if you're still concerned you could add in another category of "events" you roll for to simulate financials without actually using financials, merely because the more events = the more the leveling effect will become.

Apologies for not commenting much lately, BG3 and now Starfield have been distracting me. Seeing as Starfield is basically Fallout in space (and obviously a Bethesda game) I think you'd really like it. It's got an optimistic tone that's missing from a lot of current media that's quite refreshing, and I know you've said you enjoy that.
In MLB there are definitive demarcations of financial advantages (Dodgers and Yankees with typical huge advantages over the Royals and Pirates, for example) that I cannot accept in my dynasty, thus the fixed incomes of the players in the league. It also gives me much more control! I like the idea of introducing some financial events, though, and may consider something like that. Maybe I will add in a redistribution draft of sorts over time if I feel some teams can never find their footing. However, I do need to be patient. If this dynasty is here to stay, then it needs patience.

Not related to the above, but there are some future events I look forward to, but they just need to wait!

About Starfield, what I have read about it has convinced me that I will buy it, but I cannot buy it now. I hardly have time these days to switch on OOTP for a few simulation days. I want to play significant time on another purchase I made, Red Dead Redemption II, before I move to Starfield. I don't anticipate even getting much time on RDR until maybe mid-December. By then, I could change my mind and want to play Starfield if my laptop can handle it.
