New York Giants 1st baseman Sam "Wahoo Sam" Crawford put together a nice opening week of play, good enough to take home National League Player of the Week honors. On the week, Crawford batted .500 (9 for 18) with 2 Doubles, 2 Triples, 3 Runs, 4 RBI's, and 3 Walks which was good for a slash line of .500/.591/.833 that resulted in a 331 OPS+, 0.5 WAR, and 0.59 WPA. This is the 3rd time that Crawford has taken home PofW honors.
