The Cleveland Guardians snatched the final berth in the American League playoff earning a wild-card berth with a 15-11 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
The Guardians (87-74) sit in third place in the AL Central Division, some five games behind the Minnesota Twins.
Cleveland will be the No. 3 seed among the wild cards, four games behind the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals who are tied for the top spot.
The playoff berth is the first since 2026, prior to that the Guardians had made the postseason five consecutive times.
The Guardians last World Series appearance came in 2023, when they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games.
