Game 6: Boston Americans vs. Philadelphia Athletics

Staked to an early 3 run lead, expectation was that Cy Young would keep things in check and lead his team to victory. Rather the Philadelphia Athletics (2-4) came roaring back to take the lead and ultimately the game by a score of 7 to 3 over the Boston Americans (3-3).

Earl Moore (1-1) picked up the win by limiting the opposition to 3 earned runs on 9 hits, 1 walk, and 1 hit batsman to finish with a Game Score of 60. Cy Young (1-1) was knocked out of the game after 6 innings of play in which he allowed 6 earned runs on 7 hits and 4 walks; Game Score of 33. Jake Boyd was called in to cover the final 2 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 1 hit and 1 walk.

Philadelphia was led by George Davis (1 for 1, 3 Runs, 1 RBI, 3 Walks), Tommy Corcoran (2 for 4, 1 Run, 2 RBIs), and Bill Coughlin (2 for 4, Double, 2 Runs).
