Cards news: Nov. 7 -- Jamie Brown promoted from Memphis to be pitching coach
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that AAA Memphis Redbirds pitching coach Jamie Brown has been promoted to the major-league team replacing Dave Veres.
Veres, 62, decided to step away after six seasons as the team's pitching coach.
The Cardinals made the playoffs three times -- 2023, 2025 and 2027 -- during his tenure and won the World Series in 2025.
Brown, 51, has spent the last three seasons in Memphis, with the Redbirds making the playoffs each season.
The won the International League championship in 2025 and 2028.
