RED BLUFF AND WHITE RIVER WIN PLAYOFF SPOTS IN IPA
The final two playoff spots for the IPA Pro Cup playoffs were secured by the Red Bluff Red Sox and the White River Rascals... the Red Sox captured the Tycobbian East by one game over the Ozarka Naturals... South Fork, Midway and High Mesa all deadlocked for third place, 3 GB... the Rascals had to beat the Mahaska Haymakers in a sudden-death game to win the Tycobbian North title.
Here's how the final two games of the year went... Red Bluff edged High Mesa in two thrillers 1-0 and 5-4... Ozarka beat the East Point Panthers 3-1, but dropped the final game of the season 4-3... South Folk lost out by falling twice to the red-hot Midway Wolves 5-1 and 8-7.
In the season finales White River split with the Oxford Red Caps... the Rascals won 8-3, but lost 7-5... Mahaska lost to Luxora 5-2, but came back on the last day of the season to tie White River with a 4-1 victory... the Rascals claimed the division crown and playoff spot with a 5-1 victory over the Haymakers in the playoff game.
