Eh. I'm going to give the A's (and the Astros and Marlins) the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know or didn't remember Miggy's issues with alcohol. I certainly didn't. It's been 12 years since he faced a DUI charge.
If there's any real insult to the A's gift, it's that the bottle they gave him is reportedly only worth $80.
