Cards news: March 23 -- Shoulder injury lands Nolan Gorman on injured list
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that 2B/3B Nolan Gorman will be placed on the 10-day injured list after he left their 6-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers with shoulder tendinitis.
Gorman, 28, was having an impressive spring training hitting .333 with 12 home runs and 20 RBIs in 20 games.
He is expected to miss up to five weeks.
Gorman broke into the majors in 2022 and has been a big part of the Cardinals' lineup ever since.
In 2028, he hit .229 with 38 home runs and 95 RBIs in 148 games/142 starts.
That ended a streak of three straight seasons where he had put up more than 40 home runs and driven in more than 100.
