Cards news: March 24 -- Minor-league catcher Morlando placed on injured list with hamstring injury
The St. Louis Cardinals have placed catcher PJ Morlando in the injured list after he suffered a strained hamstring during a 6-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on March 21.
Maybe the team's top prospect, Morlando was having an impressive spring training hitting .333 with four home runs and seven RBIs in 13 games.
Morlando, 22, is expected to miss up to four weeks.
