Cards news: April 23 -- Gorman recalled from injury rehab, Deuandre Jones sent to Memphis
The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled 2B/3B Nolan Gorman from AAA Memphis where he had been on an injury rehab after suffering a shoulder injury during spring training.
Gorman, 28, played three games for the Redbirds hitting .308 with one homer and two RBIs.
Last season, Gorman, who is making the move from third base to second base, hit .229 with 38 home runs and 95 RBIs.
Heading down to Memphis is 25-year-old outfielder Deuandre Jones.
Jones only got into two games while in St. Louis, hitting .200 in five at bats.
