Hey all!
The Major League Baseball Historical league (MLBH) needs owners! We have migrated from OOTP 23 to 24 and have 2 openings. The league was started in December of 2021 and going strong a year and a half later with expansion (Blue Jays, Mariners) on the near horizon as well (probably will get there before migrating to OOTP 25).
MLBH started in the year 1965 and we just finished the 1975 season with the Boston Red Sox having defeated the Houston Astros in the 1975 World Series. In our first 11 seasons we have had 8 different champions!
We currently have an opening for 1 franchise. The opening is:
New York Mets - The Mets are a rebuild as they finished 71-91 in 1975. Their roster includes Bert (be home) Blyleven, Jon Matlack, Luis Tiant, Randy Jones, Jerry Koosman, Bill Russell, and Butch Hobson. They have the #6 ranked farm system (out of 24) with Eddie Murray, Mike Scott, and Lee Smith already in their system. They also will also pick 8 in the 1976 draft.
We sim daily, 7 days per sim during the regular season. Coaching and scouting are turned off. Ratings are on a 20-80 scale. We use Slack for communication and Stats Plus for drafts, etc.
It's a fun (and competitive!) league where 10 years of results means you'll see familiar faces but not necessarily in familiar places. Tom Seaver is on the Twins and Reggie Jackson on the Athletics, Steve Garvey is on the Braves and Thurman Munson is on the Astros!
