Cards news: May 10 -- Shoulder injury ends Romero's season

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that left-handed reliever Seth Romero will miss the remainder of the season after he suffered a torn labrum while pitching during a 10-6 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on May 10.
Romero, 33, had pitched in 14 games this season going 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA.
In 2029, his first season with the Cardinals, Romero worked in 58 games going 4-1 with four saves and a 2.99 ERA.
Julio Robaina will be called up from AAA Memphis.
The 28-year-old left-hander has pitched in 12 games for the Redbirds in 2029, going 0-1 with eight saves and a 5.06 ERA.
Acquired by the Cardinals in the 2025 Rule 5 draft, Robaina has 206 games of experience in the majors going 9-22 with three saves and a 5.31 ERA.
