Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Perhaps the program shutdown is a clue.
Does the text file need to be in a specific place (I put it under the "data/stats" folder)?
Separately, I didn't include any Negro League players since they seemed to be in a different format. Examples:
charl01osc,1920
gibso01jos,1935
bell-01coo,1922
paige01sat,1934
What is the correct way to handle those players if I finally figure the basics out and want to add them?
Do I change charl01osc,1920 to charlosc01,1920?
Again, many thanks and any ideas or even more specific step-by step details are greatly appreciated.

To import NLB players you need to check the box to include minor league players. i tend to import them separately from MLB players. Close out and re=start OOTP and then i use the minorleaguemaster.odb
Some NLB don't import properly based on the text file below. i suggest starting a league with the year that you want to imporrty the NLB player from and checking what it is in OOTP. I need to run a 1920-1948 NLB league so i can get future NLB imports.
I can not say for certain why it is crashing.
