Oakland’s recent stranglehold on the AL has kept this great Red-Sox / Buccos rivalry on ice for a wee while, but it gets another go-around here - their 9th World Series meeting - in what should prove a real arm-wrestle between two sets of gamers and grinders.
Sadly for us, Pops hasn’t come up in time but we have kept a slot open for him just in case he gets the medical clearance (and we get the league’s approval) over the next week or so. That certainly evens this contest right up and I believe it will all come down to whichever pitching staff acquits itself better. Expect low-scoring smallball affairs as the default setup. Should be a beauty.
