Named for the E. Remington & Sons factory that was located there at the time, the Typewriters out of Ilion NY played from 1901 thru midway of 1905 in the New York and Empire State Leagues, with its games at Russell Park - still in existence as a public park. Since the franchise upped and relocated to nearby Fulton in July, 1905, MiLB has not returned to Ilion.
