Cards news: June 1 -- Hamstring injury will sideline Rafaela, Baddoo called up from AAA
The St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Ceddane Rafaela on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a hamstring strain while making a defensive play during a 4-2 win over the New York Mets on May 31.
Rafaela, 28, is expected to miss up to two weeks.
In his first season with the Cardinals, Rafaela has played in 46 games/45 starts during which he has hit .261 with seven home runs and 24 RBIs.
Taking his place on the roster is outfielder Akil Badoo.
Signed by the team as a free agent on April 20, he has played in 12 games/9 starts and hit .162 with two RBIs.
