Game 1: 6-2 W. WP-Dodson (3-0). Starter-Evans (4.2 5 0 0 1 7). HR-Y.Alvarez (25). The suddenly-hot (10 for his last 23) Ozzie Albies knocked in a pair as did Yordan as the Rays took the opener at Rogers Centre.
Game 2: 5-8 L. LP-V.Gonzalez (3-1). Starter-German (5 6 2 2 3 4). HR-Albies (8), Rivera (8). The bullpen turned a 3-2 lead into a 7-3 deficit when Victor Gonzalez and Trey Riley combined to allow 5 runs in the 7th. Yordan stayed toasty, going 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI.
Game 3: 6-2 W. WP-Bradley (9-4, 6 3 1 1 2 6). HR-Casas (6/43), Haro (12). Rays bookended the series with 6-2 wins as Casas' 3-run shot in the 1st sent them on their way while Haro knocked in the other 3 with a solo homer and 2-run single to back an excellent Taj outing.
Team record: 67-57. Boston is in free fall, getting swept in Philly so the Rays are now in sole possession of first, 2 games up (and 2 1/2 on Toronto). Next up: Back home for 3 against the White Sox.
