Jay Loviglio White Sox 1982
Jay Loviglio was a second baseman who came up for a cup with the Phillies in 1980, their championship year. The Phils dealt Jay to the White Sox for relief pitcher Mike Proly and Jay got brief shots with the Sox in '81 and '82 and with the Cubs in '83. He wasn't a bad prospect, but his luck was bad. He was stuck behind Manny Trillo in Philadelphia, behind Tony Bernazard on the White Sox, and behind Sandberg on the Cubs. A long tine ago I posted a B&W newspaper action shot of him with the '82 Sox, the only one I could find of him in the atrocious Sox killer bee uniform of '82-86.
