Gerry Davis Padres 1983
Gerry (or Jerry) Davis was an outfielder out of Trenton New Jersey and Howard University. He was drafted by the Red Sox and first made it to the bigs in 1983 with the Padres. He stuck with the Pads as a spare outfielder in '85, but despite hitting well in limited duty (.768 career OPS in 73 career AB) he never got another chance. Images of Gerry in the '85 Padres kit are not hard to find, but this is the only shot I have seen of him in the previous Padres uniform style which he wore during his debut year.
